The company started in 2009 with the baking of the Le Distingué fruit cake, a family recipe since many years. Following the popularity of the Distingue, the co-owners have since worked on the development of an ambitious collection of cakes, marrying flavors and unusual ingredients. Once baked, every cake is matured in alcohol for at least 30 days. Our cakes have no expiration date even though no preservative are added. We carefully control the level of acidity and sugar so they can be preserved at room temperature, in a dry and cool place.
Pierre Trudel, co-owner, has always had a great interest in food. Now retired food inspector, he aspires to a second career in baking. Several culinary training courses have allowed him to perfect his knowledge and techniques. He now shares his passion by starting a business with his daughter.
Marilyne Rodrigue-Trudel, co-owner, has developed a great interest in cooking following several years of restauration experience. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management and a Master’s Degree in Administration, she now combines entrepreneurial skills and culinary passion.
